Our QC Department is constantly monitoring all critical steps of production, assuring lot to lot consistent quality and traceability. Counter samples are kept for each lot.

Precise analysis techniques using reverse phase HPLC methods have been developed to determine saponin concentration (San Martín and Briones, Quality control of commercial quillaja (Quillaja saponaria Molina) extracts by reverse phase HPLC.
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 80: 2063- 2068). These methods have already gained international recognition ( JECFA Codex Alimentarius, Revised specifications for quillaja extracts, July 2001 ).


The following parameters are assessed routinely:

• Saponin content
• Foam value
• Color
• Turbidity
• Acidity
• Ash

Also, upon request, microbiological analysis can be performed for each lot.
