DESCRIPTION: Mistop® is the purified natural aqueous extract of the Chilean soap bark tree (Quillaja saponaria Molina)

REGULATORY: Quillaja saponaria Mol. is approved for use in food and beverages by the FDA under 21 CFR 172.510, FEMA GRAS number 2973. It is approved for its use in the European Union In water-based non-alcoholic drinks, under code E 999. CAS number: 68990-67-0

RECOMMENDED USES: Mistop® is a natural additive formulated to suppress acid mist in copper or zinc electrowinning tankhouses through a reduction of electrolyte surface tension. Mistop® can be applied alone or in conjunction with mechanical barrier agents to reduce acid mist levels in electrowinning tankhouses, without negative effects to solvent extraction or electrowinning processes and operations. Mistop® is more efficient, non-contaminant and less costly than chemical additives.
