Quillaja Liquid Extract – QL 1000

DESCRIPTION: Quillaja liquid extract is the concentrated natural extract of the Chilean Soap Bark Tree Quillaja saponaria Mol.. Also available as spray dried powder QP 1000. Liquid quillaja extract and spray dried QP 1000 perform equally well in a two to one ratio.

REGULATORY: Quillaja saponaria Mol. is approved for use in food and beverages by the FDA under 21 CFR 172.510, FEMA GRAS number 2973. It is approved for its use in the European Union in water-based non-alcoholic drinks, under code E 999. Current CAS number: 68990-67-0.

RECOMMENDED USES: QL 1000 is a natural surfactant with excellent foaming properties. The main uses of QL 1000 is as a foaming agent for carbonated beverages, F.C.B’s (carbonated and non carbonated frozen beverages), cocktail mixes and other whipped and foamed products.
