ULTRA DESCRIPTION:
Purified saponins from the Chilean Soap
Bark Tree (Quillaja saponaria Mol.) Product
contains minimum amount of non saponin compounds.
Saponin content is approximately 80% of
all soluble solids. QL 1000 Ultra is a natural
surfactant that produces a rich, dense foam
in water solutions and has excellent emulsifying
properties.
REGULATORY:
Quillaja saponaria Mol. is approved
for use in food and beverages by the FDA
under 21 CFR 172.510, FEMA GRAS number 2973.
It is approved for its use in the European
Union under code E 999. Current CAS number:
977002-27-9.
RECOMMENDED USES:
Ideal as a natural surfactant
Main uses include foaming and emulsifying
agent for the food and beverage industry.
Due to its light color, high saponin concentration
and emulsifying properties it is also recommended
for cosmetic applications and for the photographic
film industry.
