DESCRIPTION: Quillaja Ultra Powder is made from a saponin rich purified and standardized natural extract of the Chilean tree Quillaja saponaria Mol.. It is a white to light brown, amorphous spray dried powder with excellent foaming and emulsifying properties. Main uses include foaming agents for beverages, emulsifier in food and cosmetic preparations, veterinary vaccine adjuvant and various industrial applications as a natural surfactant.

REGULATORY: Quillaja saponaria Mol. is approved for use in food and beverages by the FDA under 21 CFR 172.510, FEMA GRAS number 2973. It is approved for its use in the European Union in water-based non-alcoholic drinks, under code E 999. Current CAS number: 68990-67-0.

RECOMMENDED USES: Ideal as a natural surfactant, adjuvant for veterinary vaccines, foaming and emulsifying agent for powder formulations in the food, beverage and cosmetic industries.
